Hi, I'm Daniel Meyka.
I started D&M Accounting to give local small businesses the attention to detail and personalized service they deserve.
I spent four years as the bookkeeper for a small home renovation company, and I currently work for a real estate company that owns a hotel. I handle their general ledger, bank reconciliations, and reporting for the owners and management. Before the hotel opened, I also kept the books in order during the construction phase, including job costing, loan draws, and lien waivers.
I'm a recent graduate of Arizona State University with a Master's in Accountancy & Data Analytics, and I've been studying in my free time for the CPA exam.

Common questions
Do we need to meet in person?
No. Most of the work is done remotely and we can talk by video or phone. If you're in the Tempe or Phoenix area and prefer to meet, I'm happy to come to your place of business.
Do you prepare tax returns?
Not at this time. I focus on bookkeeping and work alongside your CPA, giving them organized, reconciled books at year-end.
What software do you use?
QuickBooks Online. If you use different software, like Excel, I'm glad to work in that too.
How do I send you documents?
Through a secure file-sharing link. Your financial information is never sent over regular email.
My books are a mess. Is that okay?
Absolutely. That's what I'm here for. We'll review how your books look during the consult and agree on a game plan before I begin any work.
